Clever Monty - Furniture with a story to tell


Clever Monty is run by me - Kate Montgomery - Hello! 


I decided to begin a furniture and craft based business which would encompass a sense of modern country style with a twist. The twist is a story which I write for each piece of furniture and hide it inside. The story is unique, often based on the piece itself or sometimes inspired by the things and people around me.



I have a studio and workshop at Victoria Works Studios in Chalford, Stroud (GL6 8HN) in the gorgeous Cotswolds. I love meeting people so do pop by and say hello if you're passing. It's always worth contacting me first to make sure I'm in though! Why not make a day of it and stop at Lavender Bakehouse for lunch too?

I love to undertake commissions, so if you have a lovely story about your family or friends which you'd like me to tell and hide inside a piece of furniture, please contact me to discuss.
